INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS ENHANCE THE VISITOR CENTRE
Heartlands is a £35 million project in Pool, Cornwall, that has transformed 19 acres of mine land into a unique cultural space for the community and visitors alike to play, live, work and learn. At the core of the redevelopment is an innovation and exhibition centre which tells the story of the rise and fall of the Cornish tin mining industry.
Working alongside the design team and reporting to the main contractor, 20/20 was instructed to develop designs and manufacture the exhibits and interpretation elements of the visitor centre. From metal work to carpentry and large format printing, a range of our specialist production skills were employed for the project.
A collection of complex interactives, many of which are audio visual, help to truly bring the story of Cornish mining to life. Amongst these are a Geology Wall with intricate stamp tin tags identifying various ores, and a Rock Samples Table with in-built magnifier and UV light.
