VICE-CHANCELLOR'S AREA REDESIGN
20/20 were chosen to redesign Falmouth University's Vice-Chancellor's office within the Air Building at the University campus in Penryn. The space was to house the Vice-Chancellor along with her strategic project team, who were previously spread across two campuses.
The design focused on the visitors' experience from the entrance of the building to the Vice-Chancellor's area, implementing interventions such as story walls and feature joinery walls to communicate the university's stories and values. The office space was zoned with two new meeting hubs, open plan desking and a ‘creative spine’ running through the centre. The senior project team are encouraged to work collaboratively in the open areas, creating a dynamic and innovative desking environment, encouraging sharing of ideas for the forward thinking and creative university.
The result was a vibrant, active and bustling environment, which embodies the ethos of the university, a mixed use space with collaboration and innovation as its heart beat.
