IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF VISITOR INFORMATION, DESTINATION SIGNAGE AND INTERPRETATION OF THE AREA
Following extensive consultation with various stakeholder groups, a document was produced for the whole town identifying themed zones and different layers of information for the visitor.
The ultimate objective was to better define Falmouth’s retail offerings & zones, increase dwell time, give visitors confidence to explore deeper, and to encourage multiple revisits. A further consultation phase then took place with full scale mockups of the sign family placed in Falmouth library for public discussion and debate.
We then developed working drawings and manufactured and installed the complete scheme, on time and on budget. The project gives Falmouth a unique identity, helping people find what they need, increasing dwell time and ultimately customer spend.
