We’re proud that 20/20 has been selected by Falmouth University to provide the interior design services for their groundbreaking Launchpad programme building.
Launchpad is a graduate incubation and acceleration programme designed to build new high growth businesses to fill gaps in the market. Students on the programme learn by building a new business and gain a Master’s Degree at the same time.
The University’s new building, now being constructed on the Penryn Campus, will provide studio style workspace for the Launchpad staff and founders. 20/20 have been selected to design the interiors in a scheme that reflects the aesthetic of collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship that the programme aims to cultivate.
Jaimie Sibert, Founder and Managing Director at 20/20:
“It is always so rewarding to work with Falmouth University, who encourage innovation and creativity in everything they do. It means our design team are given the scope to create the most effective, engaging and inspiring spaces possible.
“We’ve developed an excellent relationship with the team at Falmouth University, having designed other interior spaces such as the Penryn Campus’ Link building and Fox Atrium on the Falmouth Campus, and we are looking forward now to helping bring the innovative vision for Launchpad to life.”
Peter Cox, Chief Operating Officer at Falmouth University:
“Launchpad is creating the high-growth, high-tech companies of Cornwall’s future, so we need an environment that will both facilitate the collaborative, dynamic, multi-disciplinary work of the teams based there while reflecting the ambition and success of the programme. We were impressed with 20/20’s understanding of the brief and flexible, forward thinking interior design scheme. We are looking forward to working with 20/20’s interiors team to make this creative, energetic space a reality.”
Working and consulting with Launchpad and University staff, 20/20 will provide interior design services from concept designs, through technical drawings, and specification of finishes, furniture, fixtures and fittings to offer the function and connectivity that the high tech space requires.
Fresh, vibrant colour schemes and finishes will inspire creativity and add to the energy of the space, while planned features and interventions will provide opportunities for spontaneous and informal collaboration among users. Open plan, flexible work stations will promote a team working culture, alongside break out spaces and meeting rooms that combine to create zones in which to collaborate, create, concentrate and contemplate.
The building is scheduled to be completed in September 2018.
